A rapper is tying up police emergency lines by bombarding a force with nuisance calls. The police has already blocked more than 60 sim cards, since the man started doing this in January 2009. he made 700 calls in the past three months, which costs the force around £1,000 a month.Supt Karan Lee said his "inappropriate outbursts" are putting "lives at risk". So far officers have managed to establish that most of the calls are made from the Moss Side and Trafford areas. "We have to treat each call as if it was a real emergency, so it's frustrating and worrying when we get time wasters preventing people with real emergencies coming through." Some recordings of the calls has been released to public and the police desperately hopes someone recognizes his voice or that someone knows who is responsible for this.
I really do not understand why the man is doing this. It makes you wonder if he realises what kind of crime he is committing. He is not promoting his music this way if the thinks that. He used over 60 sim cards, so he keeps buying extra sim cards just for this matter. That makes me believe that he has some mental issues. I also find it strange to see that even in this modern times, people are still capable of bullying emergency lines with these kind of sick jokes. I really thought the police would have tracked you down in a matter of seconds.

I think it’s horrible that this man is doing this. I do also think he has some mental issues. I already think it’s weird if you do this once, but if you do this almost a thousand times, you’re really sick. This man is grown-up and he should realize that he is putting lives at stake. The problem of course also is if there is really something wrong the next time, the police won’t believe him anymore. This man is a rapper so he’s probably famous and he isn’t being a good example for his fans. I think the police should get this man a fine and some therapy, because this isn’t normal.
